LEESBURG, Va., Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mach 1 Development, Inc. ("Mach
1") announced today the General Availability of DocuTRACER v2.5, a
policy-driven solution that enables organizations to tag, track, and trace the
real-time creation, security classification, movement, genealogy and
chain-of-custody of digital documents. DocuTRACER is designed to seamlessly and
transparently work with common file types and Microsoft applications such as
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as PDF.
"This release highlights the progress Mach 1 has made in developing a solution
that enables companies and government entities to better exploit the value of
their documents and to reduce the threat of insider digital intellectual
property theft," Mach 1 CEO Paul Greene stated.
DocuTRACER's patent-pending DocuPRINT capability embeds a digital fingerprint
into a document when it is initially created and each time it moves or is
modified. The software explicitly defines the identity of all versions of a
document, and records its associated location, movement, and chain-of-custody.
DocuTRACER provides real-time analysis and reporting of user access,
modification, and distribution of Windows documents, and, based on pre-set
policies, alerts managers to suspicious or unauthorized mission critical
document movement, location, or use. In addition, DocuTRACER provides look-back,
real-time, and look-forward analytics through collation, correlation, analysis,
and projection of document movement, velocity, user actions, timeframes, and
outcomes.
